About Me
I enjoy working with people of all ages, all present genders and non-binary, and all walks of life. I am progressive in my worldview and I am of the accepting liberal Episcopalian denomination of Christianity. My education includes an undergraduate degree in Human Development, a master’s degree in Counseling, a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling; and I am currently all but PhD dissertation in my fourth year in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Wesleyan University. I hold two Texas licenses, an LPC Associate and LMFT Associate, and I am under the supervision of Russ Bartee, Ph.D, LPC-S, LMFT-S.
My counseling work experience has included hospital-based behavioral health, community mental health including the treatment of chronic and severe mental illness, private practice, middle and high school mental health counseling, and an alternative to incarceration substance abuse treatment program for re-entering (from incarceration) individuals.
